New One Sheets: ‘Iron Man 3′ Movie Poster & Super Bowl Teaser Video

New ‘Iron Man 3′ Super Bowl Commercial Teaser & Movie Poster Arrive

Just days away from Super Bowl Sunday, where ticket sales are lagging for the actual game, but where appetites are always high for the notorious commercials that air on the big day, particularly during the game itself. Marvel has let loose an Iron Man 3 poster and teaser video for what we should see from the long-form commercial. Though the spot is literally only 12 seconds long, we get a glimpse of additional plot information as well as Don Cheadle in full body armor and different angled shots of the carnage unleashed by Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin villain. Couple the teaser with the poster, which shows Iron Man falling upside down to an unknown fate and we have some added intrigue leading up to Sunday’s larger reveal and of course May’s ultimate revealing when the film arrives. Check it out and let us know what you think. Enjoy!

New One Sheet Debuts: ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’ Movie Poster From Eli Roth

Not sure if this is a poster for Extreme Power Yoga or a person in need of an exorcism, but in this case, the one sheet for the sequel to 2010′s The Last Exorcism seems to combine a bit of both. The image is either frightening or funny or a bit of both as well. The film is set to arrive in theaters on March 1st, opposite director Park Cah-Wook’s English language debut film Stoker. I’d much rather see that. Here is the official synopsis for The Last Exorcism Part 2 and the movie poster art is below. Enjoy.

Continuing where the first film left off, Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) is found alone and terrified in the woods. Back in the relative safety of civilization, Nell realizes that she can’t remember entire portions of the previous months only that she is the last surviving member of her family. Just as Nell begins the difficult process of starting a new life, the evil force that once possessed her is back with other, unimaginably horrific plans that mean her last exorcism was just the beginning.

New One Sheets: Hugh Jackman in Character in New ‘Wolverine’ Motion Poster

New One Sheets: Hugh Jackman in Character in New ‘Wolverine’ Motion Poster

Hugh Jackman Silhouette as Wolverine In New Motion Poster For ‘Wolverine’

A new motion poster of Wolverine has debuted from 20th Century Fox. The non traditional one sheet shows Jackman as Wolverine, kneeling on a Japanese rooftop, with the Japan backdrop in the background. The loop appears to be about 12 seconds or so, which is pretty cool, because in addition to the rain that falls, the lighting (and lightning) that hits his body and sword are nice. The signs in Japan take time to light up as well, there is a lot of cool subtlety in this image. A job well done by Marvel here. What do you think, do you concur? Let us know and enjoy your movie weekend.

One Sheets for Brad Pitt’s ‘Killing Them Softly’ Do The Opposite

Brad Pitt’s independent drama where he plays a killer in Killing Them Softly releases this week. The movie is off to a reasonably strong start on RT’s tomatometer with a 78% rating from critics and a 7.1/10 average score. The artwork for the film is an interesting mix, one of the most diverse I’ve seen in a while. Strangely, many of the movie posters used to promote the film don’t even include Pitt on the one sheet. Rather, they use a mix of retro art with american themes (often) and of course, guns. Lots of guns are used. This is a little odd, because this is the type of film that tests one’s star power and you’d think the studio would desperately want the promotion.

Check out the full movie poster collection below and if you plan on having this kick off your movie weekend, let us know what you think. Enjoy. Thanks to IMPAwards for the drops.

New One Sheets: Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling ‘Gangster Squad’ Movie Posters Bring The Gangsta

New One Sheets: Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling ‘Gangster Squad’ Movie Posters Bring The Gangsta

New One Sheets: Emma Stone, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin & Ryan Gosling in ‘Gangster Squad’ Movie Posters

I have high hopes for Zombieland Director Ruben Fleischer’s Gangster Squad. The cast is sterling with Josh Brolin, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn among the stars employed. The plot is solid, as seen below…

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and—if he has his way—every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart.

But the elephant in the room is the still unproven helmer. The trailers are a mixed bag, and while I love hip-hop, I’m not sure that the music works in the trailer. This collection of movie posters is a start. They mix a classic era style with crispness. I’m hoping that the January film (a usually bad release date) doesn’t indicate  the quality of film. We shall see, but for now enjoy these one sheets, before you embark on your movie weekend. Thanks to IMPAwards for the drops.

New One Sheets: Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’ Movie Poster Collection

New One Sheets: Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’ Movie Poster Collection

New One Sheets Have Arrived As Ang Lee’s ‘Life Of Pi’ Movie Posters Vary

Director Ang Lee (Hulk, Brokeback Mountain) is venturing into new territory with the upcoming Life Of Pi. The film is based on the 2001 fantasy adventure novel with early reviews being mixed but generally strong. The trailer suggests a challenging movie to make with dazzling visuals. The movie posters, most of which we have displayed below, use some of the similar imagery but to varied effects on different one sheets. I wonder if the film will be a part of your movie weekend on November 21st. We shall see soon enough, I suppose. In the meantime, enjoy the poster film art and prepare for a wonderous journey should you see the movie. Thanks to IMPAwards for the drops.

New One Sheets: Willis’ ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’, Jackman’s ‘The Wolverine’, Chan-wook’s ‘Stoker’ Movie Posters

New One Sheets: Willis’ ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’, Jackman’s ‘The Wolverine’, Chan-wook’s ‘Stoker’ Movie Posters

New One Sheets: The Wolverine, A Good Day To Die Hard and Stoker

Park Chan-Wook’s American directorial debut Stoker gets its first movie poster. The film, which stars Mia Wasikowska and Nicole Kidman looks like it’s up the typical alley of the Oldboy director, although perhaps with a bit more of a horror slant than I’d prefer. We’ll see.

The new one sheet for A Good Day to Die Hard, aka Die Hard 5, with Bruce Willis’ John McClane gets a teaser poster. The trailer doesn’t say much for the film, which leads me to believe that this one will be missed, just like the most recent film in the series. Really, has this series even been good since Die Hard 2? I wonder why Willis does these still.

Finally, the brand new movie poster for Hugh Jackman’s The Wolverine. Another film in the X-Men saga, this poster is a stripped down basic version that teases next year’s film. Enjoy them early as you perpare for your movie weekend. We’ll see what other poster film art is to come in the interim. Thanks to IMPAwards and FSR for the drops.

Movie Poster Debut: The Lone Ranger

One of the more anticipated titles of 2013 is Johnny Depp’s Tonto outing in Disney’s The Lone Ranger. Armie Hammer plays the titular ranger in the film long in development. We have recently debuted the trailer to a lot of buzz and the film is set for theater arrival in July of next year. For now, we are also given the debut movie poster for the film. The poster is more of a teaser than anything, as we see Depp’s eyes through a wall with the words “never take off the mask.” Nothing too special really about this pic, but its another teaser in what will be a 9 month lead up until the film’s release. Enjoy.
