Here is the latest installment of our world famous Movie Poster Round-Up featuring the best film one-sheets from around the web. Like MC Hammer said back in the day, “let’s get it started.” A new Sherlock Holmes poster kicks things off. Thematically, it keeps it the same as the others we’ve seen. How To Train Your Dragon 3-D comes next. Last Day of Summer (DJ Qualls) and Women In Trouble (Adrianne Palicki) lead our next one sheets. Kill Everyone (who doesn’t want to every now and again?) and Tapestries of Hope indie posters follow.
The horror flick The Fourth Kind and the comedy Old Dogs give this post some international flavor with their foreign posters. Anyone seeing the alien abduction flick this weekend? The indie Eichmann and the vampire comedy V.A.M.L. follow. I spot lipstick and axes. We are a little light in the pants this week (have we reached the point where 14 posters is light?) so we give you 4 character posters for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief to round out the post. Get fired up for the President’s Day showing of that film! I jest. Nothing super exciting this week, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. Thanks to IMPAwards for the drops and enjoy your weekend.

This really is about the slowest week for domestic movie posters we have seen in months. There simply isn’t that much new to show you. Only 11 total. There are a fair amount of international posters or one sheets for movies that have already dropped, but I don’t have the heart to post and show most of them to you. I give you the smallest of samples however, right off the bat. However, since it’s Friday and we always round up the best for you that there is on this day each week, well, here you go.
That sample I referenced? A Zombieland survival rule poster followed by an international Whip It one sheet. There is a huge difference between the Whip It int’l and domestic for those that have followed this column regularly. We do debut posters for Everybody’s Fine with the very fine indeed, Kate Beckinsale and Uncertainty, the latest Joseph Gordon-Levitt vehicle (500 Days of Summer). The indies Turning Green and Collapse follow with one-sheets.
We give you the second posters for the comedy Youth In Revolt and horror film The Fourth Kind. And you thought Close Encounters of the Third Kind was scary. Trip. A final poster for The Road drops, moving due next month, and poster debuts for the “how far have I fallen movie” (Jackie Chan-led) The Spy Next Door and the Oscar hopeful Invictus round it all out. Thanks to IMP Awards as always. Enjoy your weekend at the movies.

“Every day a star is born, clap for ‘em”- so goes the chorus in a new Jay-Z track. Every week, new Movie Posters come our way, clap for us. Its Friday, so here are the latest one sheets from around the web, courtesy of IMP Awards and Live For Films. This is a very large round-up, one of the bigger we’ve had, but enough splitting hairs, right? We have a few international one sheets for you this week, so I will give you those first. They include a new Korean New Moon poster The Twilight Saga’s New Moon seems long these days; a Vanquisher poster for the Thai actioner, a UK one sheet for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, a Planet 51 int’l poster, and the first poster for Penelope Cruz’s Broken Embraces. That last one happens to be an American poster for the Spanish film.
Two new Toy Story 3 posters come, followed by a pair of new Saw VI posters. Saw 7 is already in the works too. Yay! By yay, I mean, boo. Like when DMC said “not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good.” The indie Defamation comes next, then the original poster for that “Chuck” actresses new movie, The Canyon. The second one sheet for Did You Hear About The Morgans? fails to excite. The new poster for Meryl Streep’s fall film It’s Complicated is slightly better. The premier poster for Mel Gibson’s Edge of Darkness is better still.
We have a teaser for Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Painfully easy to fit on a marquee. A new poster for The Princess and the Frog appears as well. The new Daybreakers poster follows that. It has a Pandorum like feel to me for some reason. As we near the close, the one sheet for Me and Orson Welles appears. The “Me” does not reference me, sadly, for my legions of fans. The first poster for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried’s Dear John rounds it all out. Enjoy the weekend at the movies!

This week’s original Movie Poster Round-Up includes the usual goodness you have come to expect from these Friday endeavors. Heeeeerrrreeee we go! First up is Blind Date starring Stanley Tucci, a guy I have always liked for what it’s worth (tons I am sure). That is followed by the one sheet for Joel Schumacker’s latest effort, Blood Creek. We then have a triple play of new posters for Carla Gugino’s Women In Trouble, none of which match the original IMO. That triplicate is followed by The Providence Effect and The Yes Men Fix The World, which smacks of Kabluey’s outfit for the uninitiated. There is a The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus quad here as well.
I can see giving Into Temptation if that girl on the poster is offering me something. For you who want an alternative, I give you The Maid. Suckers! At least your place should be clean. The teaser poster for Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Tooth Fairy has arrived. It’s about damn time, I might add. Then there is the Korean poster for Ninja Assassin. Aren’t all ninjas assassins? Is that a redundant title? Perhaps not. In the animated dept, we hit you with the new Planet 51 one sheet and also give you a foreign Princess and the Frog poster. Stellar material. A new The House of the Devil one sheet emerges as well. Help! More scares for the new one sheet for The Fourth Kind, which seems like a Fire in the Sky remake. Last but not least, from the mind of Clive Barker comes Dread. Props to IMPAwards , GATW and Live for Films for the drops.

This week’s Original Movie Poster Round-Up brings us four character posters for Where The Wild Things Are, a new US one sheet for John Woo’s Red Cliff, the previously unknown Adventures in Power, and a new and pretty cool Antichrist poster. A foreign one-sheet for Final Destination 3D, ’cause it’s kinda cool, the first poster for the Michael Jackson concert footage film This Is It, and Cameron Diaz is The Box (or so I hear), also foreign (hey we are a little light on posters this week for a change). BTW, don’t look up the whole Cam Diaz spoils the end of that movie online, because word is she gave it away at Comic-Con. Dare you say, beauty and brains? Another one sheet for Law Abiding Citizen follows (and based on these posters for some reason I am getting worried about the movie’s possibilities, call me crazy), and if you missed it from earlier this week, the teaser concept poster art for Rambo V: The Savage Hunt. Props to IMPAwards for the hook ups.

What is that am/pm commercial tagline? Too much good stuff. That pretty much sums up this week’s Original Movie Poster Round-Up. Every Friday step right up and get your good right here. Let’s jump in. There is something noticeably different about this new Couples Retreat poster. If you sat he first one we posted, you’ll know what I mean. Interesting. Two new Agora character posters are up (for Rachel Weisz fan #1 over here). There are two new posters for Viggo Mortensen’s The Road. Both are pretty good looking. Peter and Vandy and Love and Savagery are indies we know little about. A new 2012 poster continues the tradition of marketing overkill for that film.
In The Age of Stupid, Pete Postelhwaite’s head will be cut open and Nic Cage’s head will be used on the poster for Bad Liuetenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Who would you rather date, Leslie My Name Is Evil or one of the Boston Girls? Tough call. A new one sheet for The Invention of Lying is followed by the same for Chris Pine and Piper Perabo’s Carriers. Where The Wild Things Are has a new one sheet but double meaning when looking at the quad for The Descent Part 2. Now that’s the real wild thing there. Remember, still no US release date for that film at this time. We also give you the new Nueve poster, I mean, the movie 9, my bad. Finally the first poster for The Fantastic Mr. Fox is up. This was definitely a quality week of posters. Shouts to Rope of Silicon and IMP Awards for the connects.

Another week in the books, more splendid one sheets delivered to you in this week’s edition of the web’s Original Movie Poster Round-Up. The brand new The Ministers poster is here, with a cool twist on the cross. The final one-sheet for the animated Astro Boy is up as well. The House of the Devil poster is courtesy of STYD. Here is Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut Whip It movie poster. Alternatively titled, “Selling Ellen Page.” The release date has been moved up to October 2nd as well. When did Ellen become Brad Pitt? Speaking of Mr. Pitt, the rejected Inglourious Basterds movie poster below gives you sort of a noirish, Indiana Jones feel, no? Then the other, designed by artist Tyler Stout (courtesy of GATW) gives a better rep of the movie IMO.
Michael Sheen’s The Damned United follows. We also give you a new one sheet for Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant. I only give you the poster for I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, not because it is a particularly cool poster, its not bad though, or because it will be a big film, I suspect not, but rather because I hope they do – serve beer down there that is. IMP Awards serving us the cold ones to keep us all in the know. Finally, there is the lovely Carla Gugino, going blonde for the sexy new comedy Women In Trouble. I do believe Carla would be trouble. So the ad is presumed accurate. Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story is near the bottom of this post (I still can’t get enough of that trailer!).
You want the poster for George Clooney’s The Men Who Stare At Goats? Thought so; you got it! Three new disastrous posters for 2012 are here. While disaster flicks may be old news, these are pretty wild. I give you Agora, you add the phobia, for Rachel Weisz’s new poster. And since so many of you clearly want Jennifer’s Body (Megan Fox’s in this case), regardless of the language, I couldn’t help but oblige. Enjoy!

Though this has been a week of highly anticipated trailers, we still keep our com-mi-it-ment to bringing you the best movie posters from around the web available to you. This week in the web’s Original Movie Poster Round-Up we have George Clooney and Vera Farmiga’s Up In The Air to kick things off. That is followed by a highly bland Antichrist poster, a “new” Law Abiding Citizen poster, which I believe we brought to you months back, and an interesting New York, I Love You poster. I still can’t get enough of how many actors names are on this poster! A new Dorian Gray poster with half-cracked face follows, the smaller movies Untitled (when is Adam Goldberg going to get more work!) and Five Minutes of Heaven with a possible award worthy performance from Taken star Liam Neeson being hyped, and the last one-sheet for Mike Judge’s Extract.
You want Kristen Bell? You got her, with the When In Rome poster, though I don’t approve of nail-biting. A brand new Zombieland one sheet hits, as well as the White Ribbon poster, a new movie from Michael Haneke whom you may know as the director of Funny Games. IMPAwards (thanks to them and Yahoo!) says this Palm d’Or Winner is due a U.S. theatrical release in December. I can’t wait to see this movie Vigaristas! Oh wait, I did, it was called The Brothers Bloom and this is just an int’l poster for it. Finally, another Saw VI poster drops for your enjoyment.

This week’s original Movie Poster Round-Up might be a little letdown to those following us throughout time. Last week was so big with all of the Comic-Con posters so this week, much more mellow. Such is life. As always, click the bolded film titles for more info or trailers. We kick it off with Uma Thurman’s Motherhood, followed by Charlize Theron’s The Burning Plain and Renee Zellwegger’s My One and Only. Those are followed by The Poker House (not poke-her house you leeches), a simply graphiced poster for Only, and a new poster for The Informant!, which we reviewed long ago.
There is an old-school poster style for Walt & El Grupo, and a pretty cool poster for Solomon Kane. Its not the mountain that needs fixing but rather a Broken Hill, in that film, while New York I Love You has more actors names on the posters marquee than any I can recall coming across. I think there are 23 names on there! Que ridiculo. Finally, there is a new character one sheet of Rachel McAdams’ Adler from Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. We loved the Jude Law one from earlier (see bottom of this Round-Up) if you recall. Thanks to IMPAwards, Yahoo Movies and Rope of Silicon for the hits.

This week in the web’s original Movie Poster Round-Up, we have all sorts of bigger name, anticipated films with one-sheets for you. One of our best yet, no doubt. We start with a few early posters for Prince of Persia with Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Atherton. We also have the first poster that has emerged for the latest in the horror series of Saw with Saw VI. The Saw franchise usually has some real nice posters, but this one is a weaker effort based on the bar they have set. Not horrible, but they’ve been very good throughout time. We can assume you saw the Saw VI Motion Poster from earlier in the week, if not, be sure to do so. We also have an additional Saw 6 poster, which is no better.
The Bronson poster finally got here. Been wanting to see this movie but haven’t had the chance yet, courtesy of WAMG. We have the brand new Shutter Island poster, Scorcese’s latest starring Leo DiCaprio. A Nightmare on Elm Street has Jackie Earle Haley playing Mr. Kruger. The teaser poster is below. The new 2012 poster for the John Cusack led disaster flick looks reasonably good. The city looks like a rock/glacier to me though, so kinda cheesy in that regard. Good enough concept though. The new Ninja Assassin poster is up. We have the trailer which debuted this week too. A hilarious The Cabin In The Woods one sheet appears courtesy of FusedFilm.
Arthur and The Vengeance of Malthazard is up next, followed by a pair of Fame posters. I’m gonna live forever, by the way. The sure to be controversial I Can Do Bad All By Myself poster is up, but any film buff knows that it is a direct rip-off of Straw Dogs art, which featured a broken glassed Dustin Hoffman. In poor taste? Straw Dogs is getting remade by the way. John Romita Jr. drew the Kick-Ass movie poster, for you comic fans. Then comes Vintner’s Luck, since we debuted the trailer recently as well. We also have a legit version of Jonah Hex with Josh Brolin and Megan Fox, which made the rounds at Comic-Con in cameraphone form but looks better here. Supposedly Megan has a small role in the film, but she managed to make this one-sheet. Thanks to IMP Awards for all their help.
