It’s a coming out party for many big name stars as voices for MGM’s upcoming live-action comedy, The Zookeeper. The pic stars Rosario Dawson and Kevin James, fresh off of his Paul Blart success, with most of the animals of the zoo voiced by some of the biggest names in the business. Who, you ask? Try Adam Sandler, Cher, Jon Favreau, Sylvester Stallone and Judd Apatow.
Sandler, will voice a capuchin monkey, Cher a giraffe, Stallone a lion, Apatow an elephant, and Iron Man 2 director Favreau, a bear. If you remember, Jim Breuer (Half Baked), Faizon Love (Made) and Bas Rutten (I don’t know him, sorry)…they will finish off the other voices in the cast. A pretty impressive list if I do say so myself. Screenrush tells us:
(film) centres on a bunch of zoo animals that try to teach the keeper their methods of dating and mating to help him win back the woman of his dreams. Frank Coraci (Wedding Singer) is directing the project and Sandler is producing.
While I am not going to sit here and feign a large level of interest in the piece, Sandler can certainly draw some friends together for a pic. He is definitely flexing his Hollywood muscle. What do you guys think of the cast? Good, bad, indifferent?
