Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Everyone’s favorite reigning fat boy is back with his lovable, cuddly arse rolling around a mall on a motorized uni-scooter (I cant remember what those things are called).  Yes, Kevin James plays a Mall Cop who has to stop an invasion in his mall.  What more needs to be said, really? The script must read something like: Kevin James, security guard, bad guys enter, comedy ensues.  Couldn’t be much more to it than that.

Chandni Chowk to China

Billed as the first ever Bollywood kung-fu action comedy.  This one stars Akshay Kumar, who is apparently Bollywood’s biggest action star.  There is always hope for the man who goes from cook to kung-fu hero genre.  Seriously, with the success of Slumdog Millionaire currently in the marketplace, you never know.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D

No synopsis needed.  It is a 3-D movie. It is a horror movie.  Expect some thrills and chills.  A pick-axe wielding coal miner will do the blood gushing damage you seek if you plan on seeing this film.  The 3-D part adds some level of intrigue.

Notorious

We’ve covered this one quite a bit.  The biopic based on the rise and fall of the hip-hop/rap legend, Biggie Smalls, aka the Notorious B.I.G.  Expect people to throw their hands in the air if they are true players!  I love it when they call him Big Poppa.  Derek Luke plays Puffy. We should have the review up on Friday.

Hotel For Dogs

I wish I had a hotel for the dogs in my life at times.  The bastards wreak havoc, chewing up shoes and mini-blinds, but the love and affection they give you is unparalleled.  Hotel For Dogs is based on a novel where two orphaned teenagers hide lots of stray dogs in a hotel.  Simple enough.  And don’t the two lead actors look like your average, everyday orphans?

Defiance

This movie about a Jewish uprising has actually been out for a few weeks but goes national on Friday.  This is also known as that other movie which stars James Bond.  Daniel Craig leads the revolt into some woods where the Jewish hide from their would be captors.  It actually looks pretty good I think.
