I thought I told you that we won’t stop. Or something like that. Tony Scott’s Unstoppable has Chris Pine and Denzel Washington in starring roles to this point, but now Variety is reporting that actress Rosario Dawson (25thHour) has joined the cast as well. We have been following this film’s bumpy track to the big screen for a while here at The Film Nest. We previously reported on Washington leaving the cast, only to return a few weeks later after ironing out some salary and budgetary issue with 20th Century Fox.
Dawson has made quite a career lately out of playing the lead’s girlfriend in her last few screen appearances, most recently playing Will Smith’s love interest in last year’s, Seven Pounds. There is no word on what role she will be playing in Unstoppable, but I’m going to take a guess and say she will play either Pine’s girlfriend or Washington’s daughter. I, for one, will gladly see Ms. Dawson in anything, her scenes in Oliver Stone’s Alexander were the only tolerable parts in the overly long biopic. What do you think about this news?
