Ryan Reynolds Stars in Marvel’s Wise-Cracking ‘Deadpool’ RedBand Movie Trailer
Since Hollywood’s obsession with comic book films has been long in the tooth for some time – although we are in for another 5 years or more of the same at a minimum – it was somewhat refreshing to see the Deadpool Redband trailer which was just released. Ryan Reynolds, who has already had at least two cracks at superherodom – the failed Green Lantern and co-starring in Blade if my memory serves me – gets to be the cat with a third life, starring here in what he (at least appears to do) best, playing a sarcastic, wise-cracking guy who still gets the girl. In a nutshell, that is what you will see below. With all the laugh at us and with us jokes in the trailer, it appears that Marvel has reached a point where they know these films have taken on a life of their own. They try to let moviegoers in on the jokes. Whether that works or not remains to be seen, but based on this trailer, I expect Deadpool will be a greater success than say, Fantastic Four. Enjoy.
Dr. Dre & Ice Cube Lead N.W.A Biopic in ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Redband Movie Trailer
Director F. Gary Gray (Friday) brings us the biopic that had to be Straight Outta Compton. With the relatively successful biopics Notorious on Biggie Smalls and 8 Mile on Eminem (not to mention a 2Pac pic that is in the works), it was a given that rap’s most notorious gangsta clique had a movie of their own to tell their tale. Compton doesn’t just tell the story of N.W.A, but it also has some star power with Paul Giamatti playing the Ruthless Records head Jerry Heller. The film at this point looks solid enough if not particularly daring as it should be for the group it depicts. Have a look at the first Straight Outta Compton trailer and wait for the film which will debut later this year.
Johnson and Wayans in ‘Let’s Be Cops’ RedBand Movie Trailer
With the title incomplete, ha, made you look. This is Jake Johnson, who for some reason is blowing up large right now (not saying it is undeserved but still) and Damon Wayans Jr. (yes, the son of the 90’s funnyman). Let’s Be Cops stars the duo as friends who dress up for a party as cops, and are so convincing that they essentially end up playing cops in a real sting operation. Anything to get the girl and anything for laughs as the saying in basterdized form goes. This redband trailer has the requisite goods one looks for I suppose. Perhaps I am way off base there but have a look and see for yourself. Enjoy.
‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ RedBand Movie Trailer
Seth MacFarlane who voiced and created the hit Ted opposite Mark Wahlberg is back with another raunchy comedy A Million Ways To Die In The West. He has nabbed such talents as Charlize Theron and Liam Neeson to star opposite himself, which based on the early trailers is my biggest gripe with what I am seeing here. Stil, this will probably have a fairly large turnout in what will be a true test of MacFarlane’s box office and Hollywood clout. If it hits, he is back and we’ll see much more of him. Pulling off a western themed film will not be easy. If it misses, he’ll probably stick to more writing and perhaps directing, but hopefully, he’ll leave the acting out of the equation. Have a look for yourself and judge once it hits theaters.
Final Official ’22 Jump Street’ RedBand Movie Trailer
I was one of the few that felt like the first film, 21 Jump Street, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as mismatched cops trolling high school and solving crimes, also based on the original TV series some years back featuring a then young and less strange Johnny Depp, basically was weak. It was an average film at best. There were attempted laughs throughout but nothing that really struck a chord until the final scene, which featured a severed (blank). Well, you know. Anyway, as Hollywood is wont to do, a sequel had to be made and thus here is the final look at it, 22 Jump Street.
Have a look at the first official 22 Jump Street trailer below. As a bonus, yes, it’s a RedBand version. Enjoy.
Seth Rogen & Zac Efron in ‘Bad Neighbors’ RedBand Movie Trailer
Here is the latest Bad Neighbors trailer. The film is set to arrive in theaters on May 9th, but after this trailer, many will be wishing it was sooner. Like gross out comedies? You’re in luck. Like potty and sex humor? Sign yourself up here. This redband trailer features more cussing, more stunts and more lewd behavior than its predecessors and is more than welcome for most viewers. I hate to say it, but it is even making me interested in seeing it. Still probably a rental though. On a side note, good to see Rogen revert to his “fat”ness. Skinny wasn’t working. Check out Rogen and Efron with dildos, general debauchery, and some fun movie in jokes. You’ll like it.
Cameron Diaz Does It All in ‘Sex Tape’ RedBand Trailer
Cameron Diaz is starting to blow up again. She did The Other Woman and soon can be seen in Sex Tape. So, now we can all see her in the Sex Tape Redband Trailer. She stars opposite Jason Segel as a couple who have long lost the physical flame that once was such a prominent part of their relationship. This is something that seemingly most couples can relate to. The sex tape is as well, certainly in the modern age anyway. Sex Tape is made by the same people who brought us Cameron in Bad Teacher a few years back. This looks like a cousin or brother or simply a somewhat updated version of Road Trip, which was also about tracking down a sex tape, that was a physical video, this one is a 3 hour clip that gets lost in “the cloud”. Have a look at the one laugh trailer. Enjoy.
Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudekis ‘We’re The Millers’ RedBand Trailer & Movie Poster
Jennifer Aniston plays a stripper and one-time rumored romantic partner Jason Sudekis a loser who decides/has to smuggle some weed into the US from Mexico. We’re The Millers RedBand Trailer & Movie Poster is below for your viewing pleasure. Seems pretty much a standard run of the mill comedy, some decent humor, even a phallic shot and a potty mouthed Aniston to help steal the show. This one should truly test how well Aniston fares at the box office, though it seems she is kind of been veering down this more “risky” path for a while.
A drug dealer heads across the U.S./Mexico border with a large stash of weed while pretending to be a family man in this road-trip comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis.
