One Sheets This Week: Blind Date, Tooth Fairy, Ninja Assassin, Dread, more!

Here are the Best Movie Posters and One Sheets that Have Come Across the Web This Week

It’s Friday, so here are all of the best movie posters of the last week. You can always see all the one sheets from previous weekly editions of this post type by clicking our original movie poster round-up link, or the one in the header. This ought to kick start your movie weekend just right. Props to IMP Awards , GATW and Live for Films for the drops.

Included is poster film art for Blind Date starring Stanley Tucci, a  guy I have always liked for what it’s worth (tons I am sure).  That is followed by the one sheet for Joel Schumacker’s latest effort, Blood Creek.  We then have a triple play of new posters for Carla Gugino’s Women In Trouble, none of which match the original IMO.  That triplicate is followed by The Providence Effect and The Yes Men Fix The World, which smacks of Kabluey‘s outfit for the uninitiated.  There is a The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus quad here as well.

I can see giving Into Temptation if that girl on the poster is offering me something.  For you who want an alternative, I give you The Maid.  Suckers!  At least your place should be clean.  The teaser poster for Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s Tooth Fairy has arrived.  It’s about damn time, I might add.  Then there is the Korean poster for Ninja Assassin.  Aren’t all ninjas assassins?  Is that a redundant title?  Perhaps not.  In the animated dept, we hit you with the new Planet 51 one sheet and also give you a foreign Princess and the Frog poster.  Stellar material.  A new The House of the Devil one sheet emerges as well. Help! More scares for the new one sheet for The Fourth Kind, which seems like a Fire in the Sky remake. Last but not least, from the mind of Clive Barker comes Dread.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox Movie Character Banners

Character banners is code for posters we missed in our weekly round-up in this case.  Or, more specifically, posters that we found out about right after we posted our Movie Poster Round-Up post.  Nevertheless, they probably would merit inclusion in such a post, but because that is such a stacked post, and there are a lot of these banners, I decided to give you another post just with The Fantastic Mr. Fox character banners.  Generous, I know.  Here, courtesy of GATW I present to you said banners.  Enjoy your weekend!

One Sheets This Week: The Blind Side, Takers, Paranormal Activity, more!

IMP Awards provided most of these lovely visuals for you this week.

Included is poster film art for too many posters to sit here and waste your time with some long intro to the post.  So lets get on with it!  (Please note: we have trailers for nearly all of these movies up on the site as well).  Actor Thomas Jane makes his directorial debut with Dark Country.  That poster is here.  We also have the new poster for the new Hugh Grant rom-com Did You Hear About The Morgans? Great title too!  The ‘net is abuzz over Paranormal Activity, something I cannot get down with myself.  The new one sheet for The Men Who Stare At Goats is here as well as the final poster for Disney’s Jim Carrey film A Christmas Carol.

Bilinguals will rejoice for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus poster.  The Saw 6 poster barrage continues with an evil contraption featured on the latest one sheet.  I really love the house photo’d for the Visual Acoustics one sheet.  Stunning architecture.  We also have four new Where The Wild Things Are character posters and an IMAX banner poster for you.  I hope the film matches my anticipation.  Flo-Rida asks you to Get Low with Robert Duvall and Bill Murray in that film’s one-sheet.

Teri Polo leads the way in The Hole 3-D, the poster of which we have here.  We giveth but do not taketh away the (actually, pretty cool) straight forward new Takers poster.  The same goes for Sandra Bullock’s Michael Oher story, The Blind Side.  Finally, we drop one of our most anticipated on you with the one sheet for Transylmania.  Who’s got the review on this?

One Sheets This Week: This Is It, Red Cliff, The Box, More!

Props to IMP Awards for the hook ups.

Included is poster film art for Where The Wild Things Are, a new US one sheet for John Woo’s Red Cliff, the previously unknown Adventures in Power, and a new and pretty cool Antichrist poster. A foreign one-sheet for Final Destination 3D, ’cause it’s kinda cool, the first poster for the Michael Jackson concert footage film This Is It, and Cameron Diaz is The Box (or so I hear), also foreign (hey we are a little light on posters this week for a change).  BTW, don’t look up the whole Cam Diaz spoils the end of that movie online, because word is she gave it away at Comic-Con.  Dare you say, beauty and brains? Another one sheet for Law Abiding Citizen follows (and based on these posters for some reason I am getting worried about the movie’s possibilities, call me crazy), and if you missed it from earlier this week, the teaser concept poster art for Rambo V: The Savage Hunt.

One Sheets This Week: The Road, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, Couples Retreat, More!

Shouts to Rope of Silicon and IMP Awards for the connects.

Included is poster film art for this new Couples Retreat poster.  If you sat he first one we posted, you’ll know what I mean.  Interesting.  Two new Agora character posters are up (for Rachel Weisz fan #1 over here).  There are two new posters for Viggo Mortensen’s The Road.  Both are pretty good looking.  Peter and Vandy and Love and Savagery are indies we know little about.  A new 2012 poster continues the tradition of marketing overkill for that film.

In The Age of Stupid, Pete Postelhwaite’s head will be cut open and Nic Cage’s head will be used on the poster for Bad Liuetenant: Port of Call New Orleans. Who would you rather date, Leslie My Name Is Evil or one of the Boston Girls?  Tough call. A new one sheet for The Invention of Lying is followed by the same for Chris Pine and Piper Perabo’s CarriersWhere The Wild Things Are has a new one sheet but double meaning when looking at the quad for The Descent Part 2. Now that’s the real wild thing there.  Remember, still no US release date for that film at this time.  We also give you the new Nueve poster, I mean, the movie 9, my bad.  Finally the first poster for The Fantastic Mr. Fox is up.  This was definitely a quality week of posters.

One Sheets This Week: Whip It, The House of the Devil, Capitalism, & More!

Shouts to Rope of Silicon and IMP Awards for the connects.

Included is poster film art for the brand new The Ministers poster is here, with a cool twist on the cross. The final one-sheet for the animated Astro Boy is up as well.  The House of the Devil poster is courtesy of STYD.  Here is Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut Whip It movie poster.  Alternatively titled, “Selling Ellen Page.”  The release date has been moved up to October 2nd as well. When did Ellen become Brad Pitt?  Speaking of Mr. Pitt, the rejected Inglourious Basterds movie poster below gives you sort of a noirish, Indiana Jones feel, no?  Then the other, designed by artist Tyler Stout (courtesy of GATW) gives a better rep of the movie IMO.

Michael Sheen’s The Damned United follows.  We also give you a new one sheet for Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant.  I only give you the poster for I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, not because it is a particularly cool poster, its not bad though, or because it will be a big film, I suspect not, but rather because I hope they do – serve beer down there that is.  IMP Awards serving us the cold ones to keep us all in the know.  Finally, there is the lovely Carla Gugino, going blonde for the sexy new comedy Women In Trouble.  I do believe Carla would be trouble.  So the ad is presumed accurate.  Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story is near the bottom of this post (I still can’t get enough of that trailer!).

You want the poster for George Clooney’s The Men Who Stare At Goats?  Thought so; you got it!  Three new disastrous posters for 2012 are here.  While disaster flicks may be old news, these are pretty wild.  I give you Agora, you add the phobia, for Rachel Weisz’s new poster. And since so many of you clearly want Jennifer’s Body (Megan Fox’s in this case), regardless of the language, I couldn’t help but oblige.  Enjoy!

Pandorum Motion Poster

Because we all like movie posters here, I figured I would give this to you now.  Here is a sick looking motion poster for the upcoming horror-thriller movie Pandorum.  We have seen these before, with Saw VI, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, and Gerard Butler’s Gamer among others.  (You can search for even more!).  Haven’t seen one this…gross before.  Pandorum has seen itself show up in several of our Original Movie Poster Round-Ups as well.  You can see their highly weird, yet “basic” movie posters here, here, here, and here.  That enough Pandorum for you for now?  If not, we have the trailer as well.  That’s called coverage folks!!

One Sheets This Week: Up In The Air, When In Rome, Zombieland, More!

Shouts to IMP Awards for the connects.

Included is poster film art for George Clooney and Vera Farmiga’s Up In The Air to kick things off.  That is followed by a highly bland Antichrist poster, a “new” Law Abiding Citizen poster, which I believe we brought to you months back, and an interesting New York, I Love You poster. I still can’t get enough of how many actors names are on this poster!  A new Dorian Gray poster with half-cracked face follows, the smaller movies Untitled (when is Adam Goldberg going to get more work!) and Five Minutes of Heaven with a possible award worthy performance from Taken star Liam Neeson being hyped, and the last one-sheet for Mike Judge’s Extract.

You want Kristen Bell?  You got her, with the When In Rome poster, though I don’t approve of nail-biting.  A brand new Zombieland one sheet hits, as well as the White Ribbon poster, a new movie from Michael Haneke whom you may know as the director of Funny GamesIMPAwards (thanks to them and Yahoo!) says this Palm d’Or Winner is due a U.S. theatrical release in December.  I can’t wait to see this movie Vigaristas! Oh wait, I did, it was called The Brothers Bloom and this is just an int’l poster for it.  Finally, another Saw VI poster drops for your enjoyment.

One Sheets This Week: Law Abiding Citizen, Gentlemen Broncos, Amelia, More!

Most of these were provided by our trusty IMP Awards sidekicks.

Included is poster film art for all sorts of great new posters for you. Hilary Swank’s Amelia kicks things off, you might have seen all of the other art for her film, some of which look better than this official one IMO.  We have a ton of new character posters for The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. Anyone seeing that this weekend?  A new Gentlemen Broncos poster is followed by two for Saw VI with the title “Saw VI: Blood Drive.”  I am not certain whether this is for an event or are posters for the film, but we are going to roll with it either way.  Those are followed by one-sheets for Extract, We Live In Public, and Chris Rock’s Good Hair.

Another new Whiteout one sheet with Kate Beckinsale is up next, which makes me think I wouldn’t mind being isolated in the snow with her.  Seems we wouldn’t get outside much. Blank, rinse, repeat…you can fill in the blank for yourselves.  Is that “hard hitting” journalism? Methinksso. The Flying Scissors, Art and Copy, and two new posters for F.Gary Gray’s thriller Law Abiding Citizen follow.  I actually prefer the earlier versions of the poster to these.  Trailer Park Boys 2 (share if you have seen the first) and Bradley Cooper and Sandra Bullock’s All About Steve round it out.

New Movie Posters For Old Movies – Part 2

You might be so keen to remember about a month ago when we brought you a slew of new posters for old movies, courtesy of Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in anticipation for their “Summer Under the Stars” series taking place throughout the month of August. There were 12 of them we brought your way, which I though were pretty cool.

I happened to see an ad today advertising “Summer Under the Stars” again, but this time it showed poster images I hadn’t seen the first time out. It just so happens the first 12 posters were just teasers and TCM ended up creating 31 new posters (one per movie, per day this month) to advertise these classic films.

All posters are attached below for your enjoyment, plus an additional teaser poster not included in the original 12. Titles in alphabetical order are: An Affair to Remember, Beat the Devil, The Big Heat, The Conversation, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Dr. Strangelove, Excuse My Dust, Gilda, The Grapes of Wrath, Green Berets, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, The Haunting, High Society (plus teaser poster number two), Jailhouse Rock, The Letter, The Magnificent Seven, Mogambo, The Mouse That Roared, North By Northwest, Only Angels Have Wings, The Pirate, The President’s Analyst, Roman Holiday, Safety Last, The Servant,  Show People, They Drive By Night, To Catch A Thief, Trouble in Paradise and Wuthering Heights.

North By Northwest is my favorite film from that list, but I think The Mouse That Roared has my favorite poster. Which one would you adorn your walls with?
