Tom Cruise Appears Ready For Action in ‘Jack Reacher’ Posters

Jack Reacher, set to debut in theaters just before this Christmas, stars aging action hero Tom Cruise as an ex-cop who deals with a law that has limits, he, however, does not. At least according to the tagline for the movie poster. Jack Reacher is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, who also wrote the screenplay, which was adapted by Lee Childs’ book. The movie also stars Robert Duvall and Rosemund Pike.

While McQuarrie is best known for The Usual Suspects, Cruise, probably now best known for the Mission Impossible series, seems a bit of a difficult sell in recent years. I think he is at a bit of a crossroads in his career, with audiences wondering whether or not they can still identify with the Top Gun star (soon to be remade also). Nevertheless, Cruise’s projects are always on our radar and ‘Reacher’ should be another that can make moves at the turnstiles.
