Just yesterday, the Academy Awards announced new hosts for February’s Oscars awards show for this year’s movies. Today the Film Independent Spirit Awards nominations were announced. As a member I get to vote on my choice of winners in each category, so I take particular interest in these nominations. An old colleague here wrote about his experience voting in the past. By the time my votes are due, I will have seen many of these films and will be better educated to give my predictions. At this point in time however, I will merely show you the nominations and ask if you have any favorites, surprises or snubs that you would like to have seen included. Let me know below the post. BTw, I am a little surprised that Greenberg received so many nods but glad to see Jack Goes Boating‘s John Ortiz get a nod. Well deserved.
