As our site has continued to grow, thanks to you faithful readers(!), we have been able to add new quality members to our writing team.  You know we don’t just add anybody off the street. It takes dedication, commitment, a brilliant written word and several thousand dollars in unmarked bills.  The latest such offspring to venture our way is Chase Kahn, whom you have seen in the “Comments” section in recent months, dropping articulate wit on those with the ability to read (you!).  Like Joe Amaral (“JoeCoconut”) and “Raging Rob” Rahmier before him, he started as a loyal reader of the site and in the comments he left, we noticed the insight and passion of his thoughts.  Chase has been contributing stories for the site for the last few months and we wanted to officially welcome him to the team.  A rigorous hazing process to be certain.

Chase has given us reviews for Jane Campion’s Bright Star and more recently, the Patton Oswalt football obsessed film Big Fan.  He even broke down Shane Acker’s animated movie 9 for all of us.  He also gave us a Film-U-Missed column on the shamefully overlooked Wonder Boys. A great movie – by the way!  He’s been attacking the news hard lately and will undoubtedly continue to expand his written oeuvre with us in the coming months and contributing in various areas of the site.   You can read more about this fine young man by checking out his bio on our “The Nest Crew” page.  Chase loves horror movies and rom-coms, and will elaborate on their special qualities ad-nauseum, if afforded the opportunity to do so.  Sorry, rook!  We have a strong feeling that fame and fortune await Chase as he pursues his journalistic desires.
