Cheech and Chong Meet ‘Tron’ (Video)

Last week, we brought the first the first in a series of “cinemashes” brought to you by Mean magazine. The ongoing effort previously combined the like of the stars from (500) Days of Summer with Sid and Nancy. I think it’s a cool concept and will continue to bring them to you as they’re posted.

Today, we bring their latest offering where Tommy Chong and Cheech Marin, better known and Cheech and Chong, bring their pot-influenced deep-thinking to the world of Tron.

Those of you geared up for Tron 2.0 or whatever it’s going to be called from now on can satiate your appetite a little bit with this. Tron was released in 1982 and although this isn’t a huge budget feature or anything, you can tell special effects have been updated significantly since then. However, the short does its best to maintain a retro feel.

I’ve never seen a Cheech and Chong movie in my life and don’t think I’m about to start, but I like the Tron sequences here. The drug-trip, 2001: A Space Oddysey-like visuals are a pretty good combination for C&C’s subject matter. Check it out, below:

Come back here next Tuesday for the debut of the cast of Reno 911! and Human Giant cinemashing Point Break.
