David essentially plays himself here again, but he did a surprisingly good job with rattling on with certain diatribes, just no acting/emotion. Rachel Wood was a revelation, continuing to be a strong young actress. The film is above average, it hits so quickly some jokes are missed, but it really is more of a play than a movie, so visually bland. Much more for the mature audience member, the younger generation will not glean much from the geriatric jokes. Clever but also a little too cute in the end, and I am not sure that I really enjoyed the 4th wall breaking...as it added little, if anything, to the movie. If you don't like Larry David, don't see the movie, if you can tolerate him at least, you'll be pleased.
