Since the summer movie season is here and almost in full swing already, we have a pretty eclectic array of new one sheets for you in this week’s Movie Poster Round-Up. A good mix of bigger films and smaller indies. Every Friday, we are bringing it to you the way you like it, so without further ado, here goes…
Both Eli Roth and Diane Kruger are Basterds as well as Brad Pitt. They are Inglourious Basterds. We have another version of Laid To Rest, which we have also shown others on before, done in the Shepard Fairey (Obama) style. There is also a new Downloading Nancy and Pandorum poster, ditto for having another up previously on those.
You want Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen posters, you say? Okay, below are 3 more of what I expect to be one of the biggest disappointments of the summer. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you.) We also give you Rachel Weisz’s Agora, Under Our Skin (a film about “you”) and Vicious Kind. To which I say, is there any other?
We give you a The Hangover banner, click here for our review if you haven’t read it yet, Disgrace, and a new District 9 poster, a film many of you are clamoring for. Finally, the collective film-making genius that is behind Whatever Works certainly doesn’t extend to the marketing dept. for this uninspired poster. Hope the film is better than this. That’s it for the week. Thanks for reading, props to IMP Awards for the posters and enjoy the weekend! (Don’t see Star Trek either.)

That ‘Whatever Works’ poster definitely sucks. And the ‘Downloading Nancy’ one is the weakest of the three that have been posted. None of them equal the craziness of the trailers which I hope people check out. Maria Bello takes a lot of risks for an actress. She should be commended.
