Gerard Butler’s ‘Gamer’ Motion Poster

With today being Friday and our weekly Movie Poster Round-Up already posted, we figured we’d give you one more movie poster to tide you over for the weekend.

You may not recognize the title Gamer and for good reason. The film used to be known as Game and apparently even Citizen Game. At least now it shouldn’t be confused with the Michael Douglas-starring David Fincher-directed 1997 film, The Game.

Gamer was written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the team behind the Crank franchise. With the very poor box office showing for Crank: High Voltage, don’t expect for there to be a third one. We have some interest in this one though, after Gerard Butler showed a charismatic personality in last year’s RockNRolla.

The film takes place in the future where humans can control other humans in a video game like environment. Butler plays the human who’s being controlled. The poster below shows the human in control. I find it somewhat frustrating that the whole image behind Butler isn’t revealed in full, but these motion posters are cool ideas and the concept for this one fits the film perfectly.

Check out other motion posters for The Haunting in Connecticut and Terminator Salvation.
