Film News: Bruno dupes Paula Abdul, Speedman speaks, etc.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno strikes again, this time claiming “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul. Paula tells [New York Mag] about her experience with Bruno that in all likelihood will end up in the movie Bruno just a few months from now. I will note some slight spoiler caution on that front alone.

In an interview with [Asiance Mag] Planet B-Boy helmer Benson Lee confirms plans to transform his doc into a narrative feature film.  THR confirmed the reports today as well, so I guess I have a B-boy doc to catch up on since I missed it in theaters.

[Dark Horizons] reports that Crispin Glover, Lizzy Caplan, and Sebastian Stan have been added to the Hot Tub cast.  We reported in the past that Craig Robinson and John Cusack were already on board for the time traveling comedy.

The baby from “The Cosby Show” is set to star in Little Fockers with Ben Stiller and Jay Roach.  Her name is Raven Symone, and I am old. How many gags can you get out of a name like Fockers? Hilarious!

There is an interesting interview for actors, or wannabe actors in the industry, at [Movieline] with Adoration (Atom Egoyan) and former TV-star Scott Speedman. Even known names have to work hard, just to work.

Jim Carrey is looking to take over what was once Steve Carell’s planned film The Beaver [Film Gecko] says that the movie still seeks a director, so nothing is solid yet.
