One Sheets This Week: Monsters vs. Aliens, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Sugar, more!

Here are the Best Movie Posters and One Sheets that Have Come Across the Web This Week

It’s Friday, so here are all of the best movie posters of the last week. You can always see all the one sheets from previous weekly editions of this post type by clicking our original movie poster round-up link, or the one in the header. This ought to kick start your movie weekend just right. Shout out to IMP Awards for the hook up.

Included is poster film art for titles this week including Denzel Washington’s The Taking of Pelham 123, another Crank 2 poster, a new poster for the film Sugar, which I reviewed here earlier.  Also, a live star version of an earlier poster version for the rom-com The Ugly Truth, the American version of Dennis Quaid’s The Horsemen, both films of which we have seen posters before in past posts.

The Spanish film Sin Nombre, a cool ‘fro for Skills Like This, the Keanu Reeves starrer The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and the indy Pontypool also represented.  Dwayne “I got rid of the Rock” Johnson’s Disney film Race To Witch Mountain and a unique poster for the documentary Must Read After My Death.  From the writer of The Crow (powerful statement) comes Ligeia, and an actor from yesteryear, James LeGros headlines Sherman’s Way.  Burnout reaches epic proportions with what is I think the 8th version of Monsters Vs. Aliens and last, but not least is the horror/thriller remake The Last House on the Left.  A few late additions to this massive post are Super Capers and Matthew McCaughney’s Ghosts of Girlfriends Past which will see a return to screen from Jennifer Affleck, I mean, Jennifer Garner.  Click our sidebar link for tons of other Movie Posters and previous Round-up editions.  Dope.

  1. Poster art is NOT what it used to be but I really do like that Last House on the Left poster.

  1. […] I’ll leave the translation to you on the next one, but I believe it means Rain Fall, and I believe that is Gary Oldman in the backdrop there.  I am tired of The Watchmen posters still coming out, can we get to March 6th already, please?  One is French, one is American, you may guess as to which is which.  My man, X to the Z, Xzibit makes an appearance, as does Charles Dutton of TV’s “The Roc” fame for American Violet.  Little known trivia, I dated actress Alfre Woodard’s cousin several years ago…now back to your regularly scheduled programming.  There is one big reason not to see Observe And Report and he is the focus of that film’s poster.  And finally, since 1 star is better than two, we have two individual posters for The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3.  We debuted the first one sheet last week.
