Since we are close to inaugurating the 44th President of the United States of America, Mr. (Senator) Barack Obama, I was happy to have found a post over at the auteurs which lists the soon to be President’s favorite movies of all time.  I knew I liked the man (and voted for him!) for a reason, he has good taste.  We already discussed the possible Obama Movie casting choices for those that care to re-hash that.  This list is simple, just 5 films, so I will simply go ahead and list them here. (In no particular order):

The Godfather – 1972

The Godfather Part II -1974

Casablanca – 1942

Lawrence of Arabia – 1962

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – 1975

I will personally admit to loving Cuckoo’s Nest and respecting the hell out of 3 other films on the list.  Admittedly, now that this is here, I might have to see Lawrence of Arabia.  Doth that make me a bad man?  He seems to love the 70′s so I wonder, why no Deliverance?! -j/k.  Kinda reads like a universal top 5 list in a lot of ways, agree?
